We invite authors to check their research methodology in 1 minute

We are encouraging authors to use a modern software tool, SciScore, which examines the methods section of scientific articles and gives it an immediate rating.

Why is it worth using SciScore:

  • The tool checks if you have included all crucial methodology elements
  • You get tips on how to improve your work
  • The verified study will be processed faster in the J Hear Sci system (because it takes less time for the editor and reviewer to check the methodology)
Importantly:
  • Reports can take as little as 1 minute!
  • Researchers signing up with their ORCID get 10 free reports
  • In assessing articles for publication, the editors at Journal of Hearing Science will not give preferential treatment to articles verified in SciScore
